What New Grads Say About Our Service

“I tried job searching on my own and kept coming up empty handed. I found New Grad Nurse Consultants and decided to work with one of their New Grad Specialists (Andrew). Andrew helped me fix my resume, write a beautiful cover letter, and help me with program selection in the area I was looking at. After following his advice, I landed my first interview at UC Davis. With his interview prep, I was given an offer in a unit that usually does not accept New Grads! I am now working in my dream unit and cannot thank NGNC and Andrew for all their help! Thank you!!!”

“Thanks to New Grad Nurse Consultants and Andrew I landed my dream ICU new grad position! Andrew is not your average resume coach. He went above and beyond to help me rewrite my resume, cover letter, check in with phone meetings and do incredibly helpful interview prep. It's nice to have friends and family who are supporting you through a job hunt, but Andrew is the secret weapon- he is a great nurse, teacher, and has management experience so he knows all sides of the job hunt process. I needed help strengthening my interview skills and Andrew helped me really distill my answers to highlight who I am as a person and my potential to be a great nurse. He really cares and understands the struggle, and genuinely cheered me on when I needed support. I learned that new grad interviews are not just about giving the perfect answer, but showing managers who you are and why you stand out from the crowd. Andrew helped me so much to tell my story! I really couldn't have done it without his help and I highly recommend working with him.”

“The new grad nurse job hunt in California seemed impossible- and even more difficult in recent months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But with Andrew's help and coaching I landed my dream ICU new grad position at Loma Linda Medical Center! Not only does he provide resume and cover letter revision help (with multiple revisions until they were perfect), but he helped me with interview skills, gave great insider information and helped me to focus my job hunt on positions I had the best chance for. In terms of interview skills, Andrew was amazing in coaching me through interview questions and helping me highlight key nursing student/clinical experiences to really tell a story of who I am as a person and as a nurse. Would highly recommend his services to any new grads looking to land their dream job!

“Throughout nursing school, one of my biggest fears was not school, but finding a job after graduation. I lived in a competitive market and had heard some new graduate nurses had applied to hundreds of positions for over a year without even an interview. Of course, I did not want this to be me, so I tried to figure out how I could prevent myself from following a similar path. That’s when I decided to work with a New Grad Specialist, and all those worries disappeared. Andy has tremendous experience in nursing, including specialty units, leadership, and management; I couldn’t think of a better person to guide a newly graduated nurse through the intricacies of applying for and landing your dream job. Through his thorough intake evaluation of your strengths, weaknesses, concerns, and goals, he tailors a personal success plan specifically for you. After working with Andy, I felt on top of the world, with no doubts I would land a job soon after graduation. With Andy’s help, I applied to several jobs and landed numerous interviews, which included my top choice, a nationally ranked and respected university teaching hospital that was the major Level I trauma center in the state. I entered these interviews with the tools and knowledge obtained through Andy’s coaching and mock interviews. Not only did I enter the interviews feeling confident in my abilities, but I also left the interviews feeling I could not have been more prepared. This was solidified after I received four job offers, which included three in the Emergency Department and one in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit. Never did I imagine I would have the ability to be selective amongst several hospital specialty units as a new grad, and it’s all thanks to Andy. I would HIGHLY recommend Andy and working with a New Grad Specialist, as I know I would not have had the successes I did without him. His tips, tricks, knowledge, and coaching are truly priceless. If you’re looking to increase your performance and competitiveness in applications, interviews, and landing that dream job as a new grad, you need Andy.”

“Right when I saw that I could work with a New Grad Specialist, I decided to take to make the decision and move forward. Craig responded immediately and the next day we had our first call. We talked for an hour on ways to improve my resume and cover letter as well as what hiring managers look for in applicants. That was the day I realized this process was going to be longer than expected. Throughout the process, Craig was constantly helping me polish my resume and re-write my cover letter, as well as pointing me in the direction of New Grad Programs to apply. He was always realistic and never sugar coated anything, which I felt was super helpful. Craig is very quick to respond and very encouraging throughout the whole process. Without his services, I do not think I would have been able to land the amount of interviews that I did as well my dream job at my dream hospital. I would 100% recommend working with a New Grad Specialist, as Craig provided me with everything needed to land a graduate nurse position.”
